WordPress.com: Add PrintFriendly & PDF Button
Although WordPress.com does not support installing third-party plugins, which is the most popular and easiest way to add PrintFriendly to self-hosted WordPress sites, you can still add the PrintFriendly & PDF button to your free WordPress.com blog.
Step 1: Log in to Your Dashboard and Go To Sharing SettingsFirst thing you need to do is log in to your WordPress.com account. Once you're on the dashboard, hover your cursor over Settings on the left and a fly-out menu will appear. Click Sharing from the sub-menus.
Step 2: Add New ServiceClick Add a new service midway on the page.
Step 3: Fill Up the Add New Service FormAt this stage, you will have to fill up a pop-up with the following information. You can simply copy the code from below:
- Service Name: PrintFriendly & PDF (Or anything you would like to show on your blog)
- Sharing URL: http://www.printfriendly.com/print?url=%post_full_url%
- Icon URL: http://cdn.printfriendly.com/icon-print-friendly-16x16.png
Step 4: Drag the button to Enabled ServicesAt this step, please click on PrintFriendly button and drag it to Enabled Services area and release your mouse button.
Step 5: SaveAfter dragging the button to the Enabled Services area, click the blue Save Changes button at the bottom of the page.
PrintFriendly button will now appear below all your posts (as per settings on this page) on your WordPress.com blog.
